Truman’s True Home

On our way to Kansas City, my family passed through a tiny town called Lamar in Missouri that just happens to be the birthplace of Harry S. Truman. Still standing, and kept in good condition, is the house Truman was born and raised in. It is a quaint home that squeezes four bedrooms inside it. We only got to see the outside, but it was peaceful and made for great photos.

note: The tree planted behind the memorial is an offshoot of the tree George Washington planted at Mount Vernon! Very cool.
